PEACE works to develop Strategic Alliances with positive, like-minded organizations that seek to assist Christian families in the area of sexual education:
Ascend champions youth to make healthy decisions in relationship and life promoting well-being through a primary prevention strategy, and as a national membership and advocacy organization that serves, leads, represents and equips the Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) field.
Ascend provides Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) Certification training, a recognized professional credential for those providing SRA education at the school and community levels. Participants who successfully complete certification are designated as Sexual Risk Avoidance Specialists (SRAS) and distinguish themselves by increasing the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their expertise in the SRA field.
PEACE leadership have completed SRAS professional training, and are working hard to bring SRA to Ontario.
Founded in 1995, Heritage Community Services’ programs utilize The Heritage Method, a logic model that addresses the risky behavior of adolescents from the perspective of changing the behavior that is causing the problem rather than only addressing the consequences of the risky actions.
Heritage Keepers has developed an abstinence sex ed curriculum that is medically accurate, evidenced based. When used in the public education system it results in 67% fewer children engaging in sexual activity.
This program should be delivered to children in church, home and school. PEACE has people certified in Heritage Keepers, and is looking for more. If interested please contact PEACE at email@example.com.
Medical Institute is dedicated to aligning and disseminating scientific data that promotes optimal sexual health and wellness.
MISH research recognized the value of parental involvement and mentoring children in human sexuality. With funding support from the Center for Disease Control, MISH developed the Building Family Connections (BFC) curriculum; an interactive sexual health curriculum that teaches content on sexual health, skill-building on parent-child connectedness and communication. This program has become so successful, the Department of Health in Mississippi has embraced, requiring family and youth workers to become certified in BFC.
PEACE has become certified in Building Family Connections and can bring this to your community.
